Flowergate Hall Community Arts Centre is a brand new community venue and cafe in the historic heart of Whitby in North Yorkshire. It is a place to make, create, eat, dream and build community, and we aim to bring equitable and democratic arts experiences to Whitby and all who visit here.
Flowergate Hall is managed by Flash Company Arts Ltd. CIC – a music and arts organisation with community-building through shared arts experiences at its core. We are passionate about the exploration of cultural identity through folk arts and traditions from around the world.

Flash Company Arts Ltd. CIC is an arts organisation with a difference, that wants to make a difference. The team were overwhelmed with joy when we discovered that we were going to be able to create a base in Whitby to make magical, participatory arts opportunities happen. Our mission is to encourage other people to explore their creativity, and to build strong communities. If you have an idea that you would like to make real, get in touch – we want to make your creative dreams and ambitions come true – and if we can’t do it, we will find someone who can!
